Nature really was the first work of art. It set the highest of bars for what was to come – it is perfect. As communities developed, surrounded by this beautiful nature, so did the need for design. Architecture, interiors, ceramics, household goods, fashion, automobile, computers, erasers ... design is everywhere and everything!
(L) The Broad is one of my favorite museums in LA. I love the architecture designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro, collab Gensler. It starts with drama of the escalator ride – starting at a dark lobby and disembarking at an ultra-bright second floor, filled with cheery artwork. This is just one reason why this place is tops for me. (R) My shoes matched the floor at Vespia restaurant. This was a fun meal before our Broad visit.
